Dogwood City (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incoporated "Dandy Dogwood" Gala raises nearly $250,000 for Atlanta community programs

Local and national sponsors power sold-out evening of impact for Atlanta communities
Atlanta, GA (April 14, 2026) — The Dogwood City Chapter of The Links, Incorporated will host its “Dandy Dogwood: A Harlem Renaissance” gala this Sunday, April 19 celebrating community impact and the sponsors fueling its most successful fundraiser to date. With sponsorships and tickets sold out, the chapter has already raised nearly $250,000—its highest fundraising total in chapter history. Funds raised, made possible in part by generous local and national sponsors, will support programs that deliver direct, year-round impact across Atlanta for the city’s most vulnerable.
The chapter’s record-breaking fundraising total reflects the strength of its sponsor partnerships and the community’s shared commitment to service. Funds raised will support community-based programs that expand health equity initiatives, educational programming, scholarships, and mentorship opportunities across metropolitan Atlanta. Proceeds will be administered through the national philanthropic arm, The Links Foundation, Incorporated.
“At the heart of The Links, Incorporated is our unwavering commitment to community and service,” said Cynthia Davis, President of the Dogwood City (GA) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. “For over 75 years, the Dogwood City Chapter of The Links, Inc. has been a proud member of the Atlanta community. Founded in 1982 as the second oldest Links chapter in Atlanta, Dogwood City Chapter of the Links, Incorporated has long focused on expanding access to education, economic stability, and health resources—needs that have become increasingly urgent across metro Atlanta. That focus comes to life through a set of targeted programs designed to meet people where they are and address some of the city’s most pressing challenges.
“As a proud member of The Links, Incorporated, I’ve seen firsthand the impact this organization continues to make across Atlanta,” said Marci Collier Overstreet, Atlanta City Council President and member of the Dogwood City (GA) Chapter. “From preparing high school students for college, leadership, and future careers through STEM programming, to initiatives like Links Love HBCUs that connect students to scholarships and opportunity, our work is about creating pathways. Through partnerships like Mimi’s Pantry, which helps feed approximately 6,000 Atlanta University Center students each year, we are addressing real needs while helping move Atlanta forward.”
More than 600 of Atlanta’s civic, business, and cultural leaders will gather for an evening of philanthropy, fashion, and fellowship, spotlighting the chapter’s sponsor partners and celebrating the impact their support makes possible. This year’s theme, “Dandy Dogwood,” pays tribute to the tradition of dandyism, honoring visionary individuals who forged their own paths when doors remained closed. That same spirit of resilience and leadership has defined The Links, Incorporated for more than 75 years and continues to guide its mission today.
